Hi K!! Thanks for stopping by and having a caramel apple at my Po-vember autumn poetry shack. Just a note, about half the apples have razor blades in them, because I get a lot of kids, and none of my poems are really autobiographical. But who knows! There's 18 days left, and 17 more poems. Maybe I'll try one.

i would think that is what it's about for "you", but probably not for him. I think it was bob dylan who said the second person and royal we is for the hiding. Maybe that's why it's so popular on blogs.
nothing gets by you, does it fairest? bob was right, tho in this case i think it had more to do with distancing myself from something than with hiding; in any event the second person thing was deliberate, & i deliberately dropped it at the end too.
i remember back in 1998 when i was living by myself and nursing a drug habit (and an ex-boyfriend habit) and broke so i started going on lots of first dates. i never ate and drank so well in my life. it was a lot of fun, lots of living in the moment.
